1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using SignalBoard ("Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

SignalBoard provides a social intelligence platform that enables users to:

  • Connect to third-party social media accounts (Meta/Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
  • View analytics and performance metrics from connected accounts
  • Track trends, competitor activity, and market signals
  • Monitor real-time notifications and insights
  • Organize and save relevant content and opportunities

3. User Accounts

When you create a SignalBoard account, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete account information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • Accepting responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

You agree that SignalBoard is not responsible for unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to protect your password.

4. Social Media Account Connections

When you authorize SignalBoard to access your social media accounts:

  • You grant us permission to access data via official APIs only
  • You remain the owner of your social media accounts
  • You can revoke access at any time through your SignalBoard account
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have authority to connect the account
  • SignalBoard acts solely as a data aggregator, not as an account administrator

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use SignalBoard to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Scrape, crawl, or bypass our APIs or security measures
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code or methods
  • Create automated tools to extract or manipulate data beyond intended use
  • Harass, threaten, or defame any individual or organization
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Sell, rent, or lease access to the Platform or data obtained through it
  • Violate the terms of service of third-party platforms (Meta, TikTok, etc.)

6. Third-Party Services

SignalBoard integrates with third-party platforms to provide analytics data:

Meta (Facebook & Instagram): Data is accessed via Meta's Official Graph API. You must comply with Meta's Platform Policies and Terms of Service. SignalBoard is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta.

TikTok: Data is accessed via TikTok's Official API. You must comply with TikTok's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. SignalBoard is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.

You connect your accounts at your own discretion and risk. SignalBoard is not responsible for changes to third-party APIs, service interruptions, or policy violations by third parties.

7. Data Usage Disclaimer

SignalBoard accesses and processes data exclusively through official APIs provided by social media platforms. We:

  • Do not access data through unauthorized or scraping methods
  • Do not share or sell user data to third parties
  • Use data only to provide analytics and insights to the account owner
  • Comply with rate limits and terms set by platform providers
  • Store encrypted access tokens securely

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio), is owned by SignalBoard, its licensors, or other providers of such material and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to data from your own social media accounts. You grant SignalBoard a limited license to display and analyze this data for the purpose of providing the Platform's services.

9. Termination

SignalBoard may terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to access the Platform ceases immediately
  • All connected social media accounts are automatically disconnected
  • Your account data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

SignalBoard does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, and does not warrant that defects will be corrected.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SignalBoard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if SignalBoard has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Changes to Terms

SignalBoard reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
